Dilipbhai Sanghani

Shri Dileep Sanghani was born on May 12, 1954 in the village of Malila in Amreli district of Gujarat State. He did his schooling from four different schools of Chalala, Malila, Shobhavadla and Chittal. He studied at Prataprai Arts College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree and later he also completed his studies for Bcom and LLB. Shri Dileep Sanghani started his public service in the year 1982 when he became a member of District Panchayat, Amreli. In 1985 he was elected as an MLA from Amreli District. In 1990, he was re-elected as a Member of Legislative Assembly from 45-Amreli Constituency & appointed as a State Minister for R & B, Fisheries & Jail. In 1991, he was elected as a member of 10th Parliament (Loksabha) from Amreli District and he continued to serve as an MP till 13th Parliament. In 2007, he was elected as a Member of Legislative Assembly from 45-Amreli Constituency & appointed as a Cabinet Minister of Agriculture, Cooperation, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Cow breeding, Prison, Law & Justice, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs. What followed was a host of policy decisions and meticulous plan of action aimed at launching the State into a fast track of all round development and growth. Throughout his career, Dileep Sanghani is known for his integrity and clean image. His simple life style, immaculate track record and above all his compassionate behaviour earns him a unique position in the minds of each and every Gujarati. He has always identified himself with the interests of all sections of the society, especially the deprived and the under-privileged. Apart from being highly active in Parliament and Legislative Assembly, he has been in constant touch with the constituents, resident welfare associations, religious, social and business organizations. His clear vision and perfect understanding of the needs of the masses, has helped him to bring effective changes that have benefitted the common man. In political as well as the social spheres Mr. Sanghani has always adopted an all encompassing approach. Dileep Sanghani is widely regarded as an individual of great intellectual ability, strong principles, and unwavering support for the idea of a strong and prosperous India. As someone who believes in learning things first hand, Dileep Sanghani has traversed the globe in his quest to gain latest knowledge in varied fields in which he is active. He has so far visited Austria, Australia, Bangkok, France, Germany, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, U.K., and U.S.A.
