Son of late Shri Jagdish Thakur; born on 14th August, 1974 at Shimla; BA. (Hons.) (Political Science); married to Smt. Pratibha; one son and two daughters; Horticulturist.
Being a grandson of the former Chief Minister late Shri Ram Lal Thakur entered into the political arena of the State at very young age.
Member, Pradesh Congress State Executive, 2000 to 2004, ii) PCC from Jubbal-Kotkhai, 2002 till date; and Secretary, PCC, 2008 to 2011.
Elected to the State Legislative Assembly in 2003, re-elected in 2012; and appointed Chief Parliamentary Secretary.
