Son of late Vaid Bal Mukand Bindal; born on 12th January, 1955 at Solan; GAMS(Ayurvedacharya) and Certified Scholar of Grace Mission(C.S.G.M.); married to Smt. Madhu Bindal; one son and one daughter; Private Medical Practitioner (Ayurvedic).
Member R.S.S. since childhood; put behind bars for four months under D.I.R for opposing the imposition of emergency, 1976; served the people of ‘Ho Tribe’ of Jharkhand as Missionary Doctor, 1979-81; served also the poor and the orphans in H.P. as founding General Secretary and later as President of ‘Himgiri’ Ayurvedic Ashram, 1985-2005. Remained President, Municipal Committee, Solan, 1996 to 2000. Treasurer, State B.J.P., 1998-2000 and subsequently remained its Spokesperson, 2003-06; Vice-President, 2006-08; and presently, General Secretary.
Elected to the State Legislative Assembly in a by-election in 2000; re-elected in 2003 and 2007 from Solan segment of the Legislative Assembly, which after delimitation has been reserved for S.C.
Remained Chairman, H.P. State Environment Protection & Pollution Control Board, 2001-02; Health & Family Welfare Minister on 09-01-2008 to August, 2012.
Elected to the State Assembly for a fourth time in 2012.
